Hello, everyone! After realizing I have 704 books on my goodreads tbr I thought participating in this book meme would help me deal with that so with me luck! Down The TBR Hole is a meme hosted by Lia @ Lost In A Story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.
Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!
It works like this:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
- Read the synopses of the books.
- Decide: keep it or should it go?

I’ve had this book on my TBR for years now and after reading that synopsis again I am more than sure that this book is…STAYING!
Enclave by Ann Aguirre
Back in 2012, this book had all of my interest, but now? Not so much. So, after reading that synopsis I can conclude that this book is…BEING REMOVED!
Ashes, Ashes by Jo Treggiari
In all honesty, one of the main reasons I decided to start cleaning my TBR through this meme is because back in the day when I started on goodreads I was way into the dystopia genre and I need to get rid of some of these books that no longer have my attention and sound a little like everything I’ve already read from this genre. Which is why, after reading the synosis of this book I can conclude that this book is…BEING REMOVED!

First of all, you guys, this cover is gorgeous! And even though I’m scared there’s going to be a dumb love triangle, I’m starting to think that this book is…STAYING! That synopsis still manages to hold my interest and attention!
Ashes by Ilsa J. Black
Besides clearly being into the dystopia genre, I was also very into zombies and wow. At the end of the day, I think that this book is…BEING REMOVED! I’m not really dying to read any zombie/survival book at the moment so…eh.
And that’s it for today! I’m starting out with five today, but let’s see how this goes next week! Hopefully I’ll have time to add more and decide which ones will stay and which ones will go and make space for something else that really captures my interest!
What about you? What are some of those books you’ve had on your tbr forever yet haven’t brought yourself to get rid of? Have you read any of these books and enjoyed them? Do you think I should give some of them a chance even after all this time?
Thanks for passing by & reading! x
