[Book Meme] Down The TBR Hole! January 2019 – Part II.

Hey, guys! And we’re back this week with another Down The TBR Hole post because I really enjoyed cleaning my tbr in the last post! Last week, we worked with 5 books but this time I think we’re going with more! Make sure to check out which books are staying and which are leaving! Enjoy!

The TBR Hole is a meme hosted by Lia @ Lost In A Story that revolves around cleansing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.

Most of you probably know this feeling, your Goodreads TBR pile keeps growing and growing and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You keep adding, but you add more than you actually read. And then when you’re scrolling through your list, you realize that you have no idea what half the books are about and why you added them. Well that’s going to change!

It works like this:

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
  • Read the synopses of the books.
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

This book sounds really interesting but, after all of these years, I’ve come to lose my interest in its story.  In other words, interesting and all yet I believe this book is…BEING REMOVED!

Blood Red Road by Moira Young

I don’t even know how to feel or what to think after reading this synopsis besides…why? It sounds interesting yet…eh. And I believe that says it all. This book is…BEING REMOVED!

A Million Suns by Beth Revis

My love for Across the Universe still reigns in my brain, and discovering the secrets of Godspeed still sounds very intriguing in my brain so I guess this book is…STAYING!

Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

Did someone say GREEK MYTH and a RETELLING–or sort of? This books sounds really interesting, but the whole crossing paths with whom your destined to be in this tragedy doesn’t sound like my cup of tea anymore…maybe some other day so I believe this book is…BEING REMOVED!

Hereafter by Tara Hudson

Whenever I saw the cover of this book after adding it to my tbr and forgetting about it, I thought it looked interesting, but knowing what I used to add was full of meh romance I was like…but maybe it’s not my cup of tea. And that’s the main reason it has prevailed on my tbr for so long and after reading that synopsis, I believe that this book is…STAYING! Because it sounds like a different kind of romance story–and very interesting!

Gravity by Melissa West

Even after all of these years, I can’t deny that this book still sounds very intriguing and like a load of fun–in a way. And I guess that says it all and this book is…STAYING!

The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

It’s been 9 years since this book came out 7 since I’ve had it in my tbr and even though it sounds like an interesting read, I’m not that into the synopsis so this book is…BEING REMOVED!

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

I started this book once already and I don’t know why, but I dropped it and never got back to it but what I remember from it was GOOD! And after reading the synopsis I can so see why I was enjoying it and where things were about to go askdjf. Do I plan to get back to it some day? You bet, so this book is…definitely STAYING!

And that’s it for today’s tbr cleaning episode! I hope you guys enjoyed it! Here’s hoping the one from next week will be just as or even more interesting!

Now tell me, have you read any of these books? Did you enjoy them? If not, do you plan to check them out some day?

Thanks for passing by & reading! x
