[Manga] June Wrap Up!

Hi, humans! We’re back with another manga wrap up and this one is the best so far! I’m finally “back on track” with manga and oh God, I read more volumes than I thought I would and I found more than one new series to obsess over! That’s why today I might be way too happy to share this one, enjoy!

1. Hellsing (Volume 1) by Kohta Hirano

One of my friends told me more than once that I should watch this anime, and one random day after losing all the manga I had saved in an app, I found this and thought: “Well, I guess I’ll finally give it a try.”. I added it, I read the first volume and I finally understand why my friend stalked me so much with this. . .it’s soo good and funny! I totally loved this! The characters were great, the art was good and the story so far is pretty interesting. Vampires + Vampire Hunters = this and it’s great!

2. Akumetsu (Volume 1) by Yoshiaki Tabata

This, ladies and gentleman, is the new series I’m obsessing over right now! I found this one too after losing all the manga I’d saved in an app and oh God, I was sad at first about it, but after finding this gem I’m 99.9% glad it happened! I loved everything about this first volume; the art, the story telling, the characters! It all worked perfectly well as an introduction to “Akumetsu” , this vigilante guy who literally fights (and kills) to rid japan of the corrupted evil that is causing the downfall of their economy!

3. High School of the Dead (Volume #2) by Daisuke Sato and Shouji Sato

Remember when I started this series and didn’t enjoy that first volume as much as I expected? This time, the case was different. I totally enjoyed this volume; everything was better! But what I  enjoyed the most was the intensity, how we were able to see how quick things were going down, that we were able to meet a new and key character, and that we were able to see what was happening around the city thanks to the zombies! In the end, this was great and I’m pretty sure the next one will be even better.

Rating: ★★★★★

4. Akumetsu (Volume 2) by Yoshiaki Tabata

When I said I was obsessing over this series I didn’t lie. This volume was so much fun and action-packed. I think this is where the confusion starts to grow, the funny thing is that you don’t wonder “who is Akumetsu?”, all you wonder is: HOW? after the ending of the first volume.

5. Akumetsu (Volume 3) by Yoshiaki Tabata

From this one on, everything just gets more and more intense. Akumetsu keeps targeting and eliminating the “evil” that’s corrupting japan’s economy, and Shiina, part of our main characters, might actually finally understand what Akumetsu is capable of and willing to do.

6. Akumetsu (Volume 4) by Yoshiaki Tabata

This volume was plain great! I think (since I binge read this) that this is where Akumetsu gets to explain how he is and works as Akumetsu. And you know, now I can’t wait to see what happens next and how this ability to be Akumetsu works!

7. Tokyo Ghoul:re (Volume 7) by Sui Ishida

I have one word to describe this volume: intense.

Ishida Sui never fails to amaze me.

That’s all.

8. Gangsta:Cursed.:EP_Marco Adriano (Volume 1) by Kohske

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a spinoff series of the “Gangsta” manga based on younger years of the life of Marco Adriano, also known as: his years as a hunter. When and how it all began! I don’t know how to express myself about this wonderful first volume besides mentioning the fact that it has left its mark on my soul and that I am still not over it. I loved to see how Marco, after some encounters with tags/twilights started realizing something. Something very, very different from what he’d been taught.

Rating:★★★★★ (if I could give this more I would)

9. Akumetsu (Volume 5) by Yoshiaki Tabata

What can I say? I’m in love with this manga and there’s no denying it! And this was another amazing volume! Here we get to see the influence Akumetsu is starting to have on the people around the city and how they all now “want to fight evil like him”. The funny thing here is that they actually get to “catch” him (the person that sits behind the mask), but it looks like they’re wrong and have no way to prove it. But I wonder, will this be good, or bad? Can’t wait to continue!

And that’s it for this wrap-up! I think June has been the longest wrap-up, and obviously one of the best! Let’s see how it goes for me in July! Hopefully, it might be longer than this one! 😀

Thanks for passing by & checking this wonderful manga wrap-up out! x

[Manga] May Wrap Up!

Hello, hoomans! Welcome back to another manga wrap up post! This time, I’ll be talking and crying over the few manga volumes I read in May! I admit that I completely sucked at reading manga this month due to my non-existent motivation to do anything, BUT do not be alarmed folks, my motivation is coming back and even though I lost all the manga I was saving on my app for summer, I will surely find them again and devour them so, watch out for the June wrap up!
  1. Akame ga Kill! (Volume 1) by Takahiro and Tetsuya Tashiro (Visual art)

22553542After watching the anime, loving it will all my heart and crying my eye balls out with it, I told myself: “One day…I will read this manga!”.And that day arrived last month and I’m so glad it did! Meeting again with Tatsumi and seeing what he went through once he got to the Capital and how and why he met the Night Raid made me want to laugh and cry at the same time! The pace, the art, the humor and the action that happened through this first volume was great, and it reminded me of how much I missed these idiots! This was a great introduction to the series, the characters and what lays beyond. Can’t wait to pick up the next volume!

  1. Gangsta (Volume 5)by Kohske

20933260I finally got to catch up with what happened in the anime and OH MY GOD, GUYS, that adaptation was perfect! Anyway, on this volume we got to see action, blood, death, feels and you know, secrets/mysteries start to reveal themselves and shit just gets more real! I honestly don’t know how to express myself over this volume, without screaming or crying over it so…forgive my feels.

  1. Tokyo Ghoul One Shot by Sui Ishida

24715846When I read this one shot, I was soo confused, but everything made sense like five minutes later and I must say that it was pretty good! At first, it was weird, because it takes on a different Kaneki, this time, he is a complete ghoul and he still works at Anteiku and such, but he’ is and acts like a totally different thing! It was great seeing this side of him and I loved the differences on how he and everyone else acted on this one shot, and how they do in the manga. ALSO, If you read this after starting :re, you get see how Ishida’s art and story telling have improved since then and oh, believe me, it’s such a beautiful sight.

  1. Gangsta (Volume 6) by Kohske

22910591I just read this and I can’t even explain to you guys how much it hurt, or how much I loved it! Everything that happened in this volume was so…I just…The writing, pace and art were on point. The action, what happened with the characters and the ugly truth they discovered was amazing and totally unexpected (even tho I had spoiled myself about this before)! Bless this series. Bless this volume. Bless Kohske. My heart may be in pain, but I need more!

  1. Gangsta (Volume 7)by Kohske

26017696After reading this volume, I don’t know what to do with my life. I mean, when’s the next one coming out? How much am I supposed to wait for it to come out and get translated? How much will I suffer to know and enjoy what happens next? I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure the wait will be worth it. This volume was completely amazing, action-packed, touching and just…perfect! AND THAT ENDING, oh my God! I’ve suffered so much with the last few volumes, and this one surely made it worse! I have so many questions about what will happen next that I can’t wait for the next one! [distant screaming]

Rating: ★★★★★

And that’s it for this month’s wrap up! I didn’t read as much as I had planned to, but I am finally up-to-date with Gangsta, and now I just need to find a new series to binge-read while the next volumes come out so feel free to recommend anything that has action or magic or anything but romance and…pinky stuff!

Thanks for passing by & reading! x

[Manga] April Wrap Up!

Hello, people of Earth! Today I’m here with my second monthly manga wrap up, and even though I didn’t read much, I hope you guys enjoy this!
  1. Goth by Otsuichi & Kendi Oiwa (illustrator)

3678413Honestly, I don’t even know why I thought reading this would be interesting or a good idea. No, wait, I actually do! This manga randomly appeared on my goodreads recommendations and I was like:“this looks interesting” and I clicked it, and I read someone say something about gore, horror and creepy stuff and well, that’s pretty much why I decided to give it a try. But guess what, guys. It didn’t work for me. The only thing I liked about this was the mystery solved at the ending. Nothing else. Why? Because it didn’t make sense for me, like, what was the point of this? I’m still lost. And if you’re wondering about the gore well, I don’t know, this wasn’t that “horrifying”, it does have strong stuff, but I expected worse, to be honest.

Rating: ★★★★

  1. Gangsta (Volume 3)by Kohske

17706584Oh God, guys, this volume brought all the feels to my soul! On this volume, we got to see flashbacks about Worrick and Nico’s past; how they met each other and whatever whatever–and I just couldn’t help myself from screaming and wanting to cry. But besides that touchy back story, we also get to see how shit is starting to get real with the twilights. Really loved this volume and how everything developed!

Rating: ★★★★★

  1. Gangsta (Volume 4)by Kohske

17706591Can I just say that shit is starting to get real and nothing else? No? Well, ok, I completely loved this volume and I can’t deny it. I love seeing how Al’s relationship with W and N is developing and meeting new characters! Everything was great! But in the end, shit got real, and I can’t wait to start the next one!

Rating: ★★★★★

  1. Attack on Titan (Volume 19)by Hajime Isayama

18363260Guys, this series is ending. Guys, I don’t know how to review this. Guys, shit has gotten way too real and this was way too intense for my life. I DON’T NEED THOSE CLIFFHANGERS OR ANYTHING, YOU KNOW! Things just got. . .wow. This is just fucking brilliant.

Rating: ★★★★★

  1. Tokyo Ghoul:re (Volume 6)by Sui Ishida

28218602Like with that 19th volume of Attack on Titan, this volume was also fucking brilliant. Sui Ishida is finally showing us more things and ah, everything it’s just so painfully beautiful I can’t even express myself right. ALSO, I actually finished this volume and the AoT one like a month or two ago, BUT, since I added them now on April to my read shelf, I decided to include them and cry. I’m loving every second of this beautiful manga and I can’t deny it, good bye.

Rating: ★★★★★

  1. High School of the Dead (Volume 1)by Daisuke Sato and Shouji Sato (Illustrator)

85725611I randomly decided to read this first volume and see how it went, since I loved the anime, and I just realized that it didn’t went how I expected. Why? Well, the story was fine and the way it developed and everything else, but the art was somehow confusing and it hurt my eyes to read these first few chapters! But besides that, I still enjoyed it, and I think I will continue fighting zombies with this series. . .

Rating: ★★★★★

And that’s it! Have any of you read any of these? If so, feel free to come and cry with me about them, if no, WHY NOT?! If you like suffering, I’m sure you’ll enjoy them! Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed these “mini reviews”!

Thanks for passing by & reading! x

[Manga] March Wrap Up!

Hello, everyone! I was gone for the week thank to two beautiful exams, but now I’m back and ready to rumble! Today I’m here with this new thing called Monthly Manga Wrap Up, where I’ll be doing small reviews of every manga volume I read in this past month. I’m new at this “small reviews” thing; in other words: I don’t know what I’m doing but I hope you guys enjoy it, bye.
  1. Noragami (Volume 1) by Adachitoka

22172359Before reading this first volume of the Noragami series, I had already watched the anime, so I already knew what I was getting into, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it and laughing like an idiot with it as if it were the first time getting to know Yato, Hiyori and Yukine. Everything about this volume was so good; the way we get introduced to everything and everyone, the art, the pace of the story, the action, the humor and etc. I really loved this volume and now I can’t wait to continue reading this series!

Rating: ★★★★★

  1. Another (Volumes 1-4) by Yukito Ayatsuji and Hiro Kiyohara

13494466This series consists of four short BUT addictive volumes that once you start them, you won’t be able to stop until the very end! I actually did a full review of the series last week, so if you’d like to know more about it, you can check it out here!

Rating: ★★★★★

  3. Deadman Wonderland (Volume 6) by Jinsei Kataoka and Kazuma Kondou

21412466I started this series a couple of months ago, and so far, I’m loving it! This sixth volume was the last one I got, and I completely loved it from beginning to end! Everything that happened was so unexpected and no matter what happened AND EVEN IF THE ENDING HURT MY HEART, it left me wanting more because I NEED ANSWERS! And so will you if you get to read it!

Rating: ★★★★★

  1. Gangsta (Volume 1) by Kohske

17706570Again, this was one of the series that I decided to start after watching and loving the anime and honestly, I don’t know why it took me so long to start reading it! I’d been dying to do so! I really loved this first volume because I felt like it was a great introduction to the series and the main characters. It felt so good to meet again with Worrick, Nic and Alex after missing them so much! The art, the action and the characters well all very well done and introduced on this first volume of the series, so I’ve got no complaints, I LOVED IT!

Rating: ★★★★★

  1. Gangsta (Volume 2)by Kohske

17706572If I enjoyed the first volume, believe me when I tell you that I enjoyed this one even more! The was more action, there were new characters introduced, and things just got way more intense and interesting! What I enjoyed the most about this one was that we finally got to meet Monroe, his guys, Paulklee and some guys from the Guild, and specially DELICO AND DOUG! I’d been waiting for so long to see my other babies again that when I saw them I was beaming like an idiot over 2D people! Now all I want to do is continue the series and get to know what happens!

And that’s it, short and simple, as I think it should be! I didn’t read much on March, but I hope I can improve this number once I’m free from college and have more time to read! Anyway, I really hope that you guys enjoyed this and well yeah, watch out for next month’s wrap-up!
